How to configure separate Wi-Fi SSIDs for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands

How to configure separate Wi-Fi SSIDs for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands

Most routers come with "dual-band" Wi-Fi, which means they support both 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi frequency bands. Sometimes they use the same SSID (SSID = network name), sometimes they have a unique SSID, such as "Your Wi-Fi" and "Your Wi-Fi_5G".
How to set two different Wi-Fi names so that we can distinguish them?
Splitting the Wi-Fi yourself
If your router supports both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, but only one Wi-Fi name is displayed on the Wi-Fi search page of your mobile phone, perform these steps:

1, Find router IP address. (The entry address is usually provided on the label attached to the back of the router)

2. Open a Web browser, Log into your router’s settings page by typing its IP address  (example: http://123.456.7.8)

3, Go to the 2.4 GHz setting page and set the Wi-Fi name (SSID) to (XXX)-2.4G, where xxx indicates the Wi-Fi name.

4, Go to the 5 GHz setting page and set the Wi-Fi name (SSID) to (XXX)-5G, where xxx indicates the Wi-Fi name.

NOTES:
Use the username and password you designated when creating your WiFi network. (can always be found in your router)
The IP address always starts with http:// followed by four number sequences separated by dots. For example: http://123.456.1.1.
Go to the wireless settings to change the WiFi channel.
Example:

5, Save setting

When the preceding settings are complete, the new Wi-Fi names will appear on the Wi-Fi settings page of your mobile phone.
NOTES: After the Wi-Fi names are changed, you need to reconnect the devices that use this wireless router. The password remains the same if it has not been changed.

You can set it up on your computer.
1. click on the network icon in the bottom right corner of your computer and select "Open Network and Sharing Center"
2. Go to "Network and Sharing Center", and select "Change adapter settings"
3. Find the wireless network and double-click on the wireless network icon.
4. Open "WLAN Status" and select "Details".
5. Under "Details", you can see "ipv4" and "ipv4 default gateway".
6. Generally, the "ipv4 default gateway" is the IP address of the router settings page.
7. Then enter the "ipv4 default gateway" address directly into your browser.
It will bring up a router settings interface and ask us to enter the router administrator password.
Enter the Wi-Fi password into it, and then you can enter the router's setup page.
